You should get your Rx from your eye doctor and then buy the lenses online though - save BIG $$. I bought single vision online for $25 at www.replacementlensexpress.com and my eye dr was going to charge me hundreds. This is a good company if you already have frames that you like, and you just need a new Rx. Much higher quality than Costco.

If you find frames you like, write down the make and model number on the side of the frame and shoot this company an e-mail (info@replacementlensexpress.com) and they will try to match or beat the price. It's a great one-stop-shop, and very high quality (based in Connecticut, not overseas like most online companies).

Yes, I've been getting glasses from Costco for a several years and my ophthalmologist writes my prescriptions, not the Costco optometrist.

That's the business they are in, so yes. That's kind of like asking if you can get served food in a restaurant, right?

Sure...that's what they do.
