question about semi-rimless eyeglasses' lifespan?!

Question: Question about semi-rimless eyeglasses' lifespan?
since the glasses are held by thin nylon wire. i am sure that the wire won't last forever. once it breaks, there is no way that you can put the glasses back in the socket again.

with the regular rim glasses, if the glasses fall out, i can at least put them back in the socket.

so i wonder how long those semi-rimless eyeglasses will last?

thanks.

Answers:

If the wire fails you can take them to your nearest walmart optical center or wherever you got them and they can restring them for you. WALMART does not charge for it. The only thing I reccomend is DO NOT get plastic lenses it will chip at the corners within the first month, if you get the semi-rimless get either the polycarbonate lenses or high-index lenses. High-index lens is the best lens you can get but poly is also a good lens as well.
