As any surgery, lasik is neither 100% perfect nor 100% safe.Lots of complications are associated with it, most notable ones are dry eyes and under/over correction. It is a cosmetic surgery.Of course this is a misconception that you will go blind after 40 if you undergo lasik.Ask ur eye doc about the pros and cons and decide for yourself.

hi.i have done lasik treatment two years back.even my brother has done it.its totally safe.don't worry.somebody has confused you saying that people will go blind after 40.its totally WRONG.its safe and has no disadvantages.i have a clear vision now.it doesn't have any disadvantage.you wont get any eye problems in future.trust me.

not true. the only drawback is that any changes done to the eye are irreversible. glasses can be discarded. i have 20/40 vision. i wear glasses. lasik is just too final a solution. i,ll keep wearing glasses.

Of course its not true!

At about 45 everybody gets "presbyopia" and reading deteriorates.

You will still get this even if you have lazer surgery, meaning you will require reading glasses at around this age.
