What's wrong with my moms eyes?!

Question: What's wrong with my moms eyes?
My mom is telling me that she can't see really well, like she's looking through a waterfall an has blurred vision, but she feels fine, no migraine or anything... Is it serious?

If your Mom is over 40, she probably needs glasses. If it were cataracts, her vision would have decreased over time. Your mom needs to make an appointment with an optometrist or ophthalmologist for a comprehensive dilated eye exam. There could be any number of causes for her vision problems some of which will permanently effect her vision if the problem is not attended to quickly. If she has health insurance the exam may covered, but she ought to check with her provider. If she doesn't have insurance, she can go to an eye clinic where the fees would be less.

perhaps she gets Cataract, she should go to see doctor to get rid of it before it becomes totally blind. it's curable

could be pink eye
if it gets green slime on the bottom it will stick (she wont be able to open her eye)

More than likely its cataracts. My grandmother had them and they're very easy to remove. When you have it, its basically that the natural lens on your eye becomes cloudy like a pair of goggles you've used over and over and over. Simple surgery will remove that cloudy lens and replace it with a plastic one almost like a contact lens.

Its really easy and your mom should be fine. Go to an eye doctor to be sure. If it is then surgery will be needed because cataracts can get bad enough that she could eventually go blind. She won't go permanently blind, just blind until the lenses are removed. She'll be ok though and I hope this helped.
