Soreness in Eyes when Looking Around?!

Question: Soreness in Eyes when Looking Around?
It started yesterday. I was just driving home and I started feeling a "soreness" in my eyes when I looked around. It felt like a soreness and a sharp pain together. It's now been almost day 2 of this and they still hurt. I took Tylenol but it didn't help. By the way I smoke and they started hurting after a cigarette I smoked...

Eyes usually heal fairly quickly. If your eyes still hurt after two days, you probably have an infection and you really need to see and ophthalmologist or optometrist for a comprehensive eye exam. In certain instances eye infections or disease can be sight threatening and the longer you wait to see a doctor the less chance you have of retaining your vision. The fact that you have soreness in both eyes is unusual and could be an indication of optical disease.

Smoking would not cause the pain in your eyes unless ashes flew into both your eye at once and burnt them. Smoking wil probably eventually effect your vision and is a factor in age related macular degeneration. Good Luck and I hope that there is nothing serious wrong with your eyes and please stop smoking. It can effect so many aspects of your life as you get older especially the quality of your life.
