Question: What is going on with my eyes?

Hello im currently 16 years old and have been wearing glasses since I was five for an Asitgmatism, Just lately ive been having blurry vision and a dark shadow in my eye alough they hosbital checked it out and said everything looked fine. But... im going to see a corneal expert because my eye is shaped like a rugby ball and they need to know whether it is progressive or not. So my question is;
1. What will happen iff it is progressive?
2. Is 6/18 vision terrible in your opinion?
3. Will my eye seight deteriat iff its progressive?
4. Why am i getting blured vision? .... ive had several tests done and all looked fine
5. Iff my eye sight is 6/18 now what will my sight potentially be like 15 - 20 years down the line?

Any advice would be deeply appreciated im so worried.

1. If it is progressive then it is likely to get worse luckily however they make Progressive Eye Lenses.

2. Honestly yes 6/18 is pretty bad however many people have much worse vision and live life without any problems.

3. Along with answer 1 yes it is very likely that it will continue to deteriorate even if it isn't progressive.

4. Probably effects of the Astigmatism causing the blurred vision. It likely comes and goes seemingly randomly.

5. This is the good news. In 15.20 years the abilities of Eye Care will far exceed today's. Things like LASIK will be revolutionized and it is extremely likely that bad vision will be a thing completely of the past.

Although I'm sure most of this sounds pretty bad right now keep in mind that everything is always changing so keep optimistic and it is very likely your problems will be solved by Future Medicine.
