Heterochromia? one eye blue-the other greenish?!

Question: Heterochromia? one eye blue-the other greenish?
Hi, I'm 15 years old and I noticed that a friend of mine's baby seems to have heterochromia..one eye os a bluish color..and and the other appears a shade of green near the iris but large enough to make the eye noticeably different. Does she have central heterochromia? I told the parents that I have read on this and that's its condition, more than likely harmless and cute in a way. What are common causes of this?

Answers:

It's more likely heterochromia. At least it sounds like that.

As you said, it's totally harmless and beautiful most of the times.
The causes vary. It may be inherited, due to genetic mosaicism, or due to disease or injury.
