Irregular astigmatism is caused by keratoconus, the symptoms are blurred vision, headaches and eye strain. Irregular astigmatism cannot be corrected with glasses or removed with laser eye surgery. The only thing available for irregular astigmatism is rigid contacts or a corneal transplant.
