Eyes gotten worse :/?!

Question: Eyes gotten worse :/?
I got glasses about 2 years ago and my eyes have gotten worse... I have had them checked again and was told they are fine but I even have problems looking at things more then 3 feet from me.

Extra info:
I'm short sited and my glasses make my eyes hurt alot after a few hours.

(I know I should know what this is or might be but none of my medical books say anything about this)

Go to another eye doctor and another optics store!

I presume that you can see things further away when you are wearing your glasses? I can't see things even that far away without my glasses or contacts. Eyes do tend to get worse and whilst they are supposed to stablize in your 20's they can get worse afterwards. There isn't anything you can really do about this , none of the supposed cures work. However there aren't many perscriptions which can't be corrected using contacts or glasses. What I find odd is that you say your glasses make your eyes hurt. I have never had this with glasses with a proper perscription in. It sounds more likely that you are doing something else which is making your eyes hurt e.g. watching computer screens with poor lighting.

Maybe your glasses are the wrong perscription. Because when I got glasses 3 years ago, I had bad vision, but I didn't wear them because I hated how they looked. That caused strain on my eyes, and now theyre worse! So I started wearing them and they hurt my eyes because they were not the right prescription. Maybe you should consider getting new glasses, like me.

Experience

If you have for example -2 and the glasses are either -2.5 or -1.5(normally the latter so that your eyes don't get totally lazy), then it's too much difference. In this case you would need ~ -1.75. if you've stopped growing this doesn't apply because you would have exact lenses.
