Acuvue for Astigmatism?!

Question: Acuvue for Astigmatism?
What are your thoughts about them? Please don't just put "Like them" or "don't like them!" Give me reasons please!

Answers:

As a Dispensing Optician I saw a lot of patients being fitted with them. In general they reported excellent clarity of vision and comfort. They could wear them longer than some other lens types without irritation too.

Some Opticians do price them a bit unfairly because of the brand name so make sure you get a competitive price - but they do tend to be worth the money.

I didn't try them myself as my prescription isn't catered for by lenses so all I can report to you is what our patients told us after trying them.

Hope that helps.

I'm a dispensing optician

I use accuvue advance which is fortnightly toric. I find them the most comfortable lenses I have had in 40 years of lens wearing although I did start with hard lenses. I was successfully wearing monthlies, can't remember which ones , but when I went in for my checkup my optician had got me these as a trial. they were so fantastic that even though I thought the lenses I was wearing were good I had no doubts about paying the extra money for them. I've had them for some years now ( can't remember how many) but I've never had a bad or mismade pair and still think they are wonderful. I do wear focus dailies for swimming which are good , but not as comfortable as the accuvue.
