my eyes are being weird?!

so about a week ago my left eye got kind of red and itchy. *as soon as the weather started getting colder* and i had a little cold, so i thought it was just the sickness. now my eye is not itchy or red, but i wake up with both eyes with like crust and stuff on the eyelashes? & its only in the morning. its been like this for about a week. today the crust was black, but im pretty sure that was just my eyeliner i forgot to take off. (:
