if you don't wear contacts for a day, do they last an extra day?!


Question: If you don't wear contacts for a day, do they last an extra day?
Like if they are supposed to last two weeks (monday - monday) but i skip the last day, could I wear them an extra day? :D If you understand what I'm saying.... THANK YOU.

haha yeah, by taking extremely good care of your contacts you can even get some extra use out of them, i.e. wearing monthly disposables for 5 weeks

just stop use immediately if your eyes become unusually irritated to prevent infection

Yes this is something you can do. You can even use them if you've left them a couple of days. There have been various questions about this in answers and teh opticians seem to think that 14 days means 14 days wearing them. Unless they are a special type of lens you aren't supposed to wear them overnight and even those meant for this you have to be very careful with, its just an occasional overnight really. I would say that I've found if I've worn mine for a week then left them for a week they aren't as comfortable so I tend to chuck them out, but that is a personal thing.
