Do I have a problem with my eyes?!

Question: Do I have a problem with my eyes?
Whenever I look into the far corner of my eye, I see a dark patch which fades away.
I see floaters.
I see lots of afterimages.
My eyes are quite sensitive to light.
I sometimes see shadows that aren't there?
When i stretch my eye, this patch of kind of black and other colours kind of pops up then disappears in a few seconds.
I have long eyes, Im short sighted.
Colours are just generally odd..
Im getting quite worried now, and I don't want to visit the optician after previous scares of having a brain tumour or something, as I think they said my retina was wider? They said it could have been due to my brain or a tumour pushing against it? But in the end they said it was just how my eyes are. Could this have anything to do with it?
Please help, if there is any information or any home tests I can do, I would be grateful. I've searched all over the web and found nothing? I've had these symptoms for quite a while now.

You have to become more decisive about it. Yes some people avoid going to a doctor and will always refuse to have any treatments or surgery done. If actually the problem you describe is getting bad now then the only solution is to deal with it properly.
I think you're exaggerating how scary a tumor is. In life there are many things that can be scary but we have to grow up and deal with these things in order to live our lives.

Please get a full checkup by an ophthalmologist and not an Optometrist which just checks your vision and not your eyes in general.

You really need to see a doctor or go have an eye test. The optician will tell you exactly what the problem is.Your sight is precious please look after it.

Sorry, there are no home tests and most of what you have could be explained away and is not sight threatening.

The fading dark patch is probably a floater. Everyone get floaters eventually. They are annoying but not sight threatening. If your eyes are sensitive to light you might have photophobia, also not sight threatening. People with light colored irides (iris pl) are more prone to photophobia and if colors are odd you may be color blind, you are r usually born that way, so you wouldn't know the colors were odd. The shape of your eyes have nothing to do with vision, being short or nearsighted means you can't see distant objects and need corrective lenses.. Some of your optical problems, like the photophobia, afterimages, and odd colors could be caused by drugs- either legal or illegal; or ocular migraine without headache; or your mind could be playing tricks on you because you have nothing to do but think about what is wrong with you. Try to find some activities to take your mind off your eyes .

If you haven't been back to the eye doctor in a year, you do need a prescription for glasses because appear to nearsighted, so go back and get checked.
