HELP. TROUBLE WITH MY CONTACTS?!

Question: HELP. TROUBLE WITH MY CONTACTS?
OK I NEED PEOPLE TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION QUICK AND PASS IT ON because i am in a lot of pain right now
ok so Saturday i got contacts and ever since, they have been burning my eyes. so when i got home, my mom got me new solution since obviously my eyes were burning. i dumped the old solution, and cleaned the case with water. then i put the new solution in, and let it soak for a couple seconds. then i put the contact with the new solution in my eye. and automatically i got this burning, i couldn't even open my eye. but i had to get the contact out. this was a severe burning sensation in my eye. so i took out the contact and rinced my eye and now it still feels HORRIBLE. like my eye is closed right now. im in so much pain. what do i do, why did that burn my eyes? is it the contacts? i feel like crying because it hurts so bad and i really want contacts to work.

If your new solution is clean-care than its the solution. Clean-care solution is hydrogen peroxide (rubbing alcohol) and slowly after 6 hrs changes into regular contact solution. So if you did a quick rinse than it would be the same as splashing rubbing alcohol in your eye. If it was burning ever since the doc's office, either your eyes are having a reaction to the contacts, your contacts are inside out or you stabbed your eye the first time trying to get them in and since you didnt let them heal they continuously hurt. Try going to see the eye doctor if the pain continues.

Since your contacts are so new you are suppose to leave them in the solution for like 4 to 6 hours before putting them back in sometimes when I don't leave mine in the solution long enough it is a horrible burning sensation in my eyes too at first but usually goes away in a few minutes but it does hurt like hell

I would def go to your eye doctor.. It could be that your eye has a cut or something else wrong with it.. Couple years ago I felt like there was something in my eye constantly and went to my doctor to find out that it was a corneal ulceration. I had to use alot of antibiotics.. It was worth the trip because if unattended to I could have lost vision in that eye!! So definately go to the doctor!

Personal experience. Had glasses my whole life with numerous eye doctor trips

Hey it wasn't a hydrogen peroxide solution was it? There is a kind of solution that starts as hydrogen peroxide and fizzes when you put the contacts in it. You're supposed to let it sit for 6 hours before you use it and by then it converts to normal contact solution. If you try to use it before that it will burn like crazy. Even if this isn't the problem try rinsing your contacts out really well with the new solution you bought. Whatever's irritating your eyes is probably still on the contacts. Put it in the palm of your clean hand and squirt solution onto it- don't just put it in the case. Wait to try this until your eye stops hurting you so much. If it gets any worse or doesn't go away in an hour or so I would call the eye doctor and ask what he thinks you should do.
