They will give you big time head aches. You could even get sick. Just buy them and take them to a eyeglass lab and ask them to put in Plano lenses. Those are just regular lenses with no correction.

Wearing glasses with a prescription you don't need will cause headaches and eyestrain, however probably will not cause any permant damage. You can go to any on-line glasses site and order whatever frames you want with fake, no-power lenses (plano lenses). You don't even need a prescription, because they don't correct for anything. Some of the stores that sell fashion accessories are also stocking ready-made fake glasses in a variety of heavy, black, nerdy styles.

Yeah, glasses at the wrong prescription will give you horrible headaches and potentially damage your vision. But if you're really determined to have that particular pair of glasses, you could always buy them and have the lenses replaced with clear glass.
