Weird thing my eyes are doing?!

Question: Weird thing my eyes are doing?
Ok this is hard to explain so bear with me. I was prescribed glasses for the first time about 3 months ago. I never had any problems with my eyes until recently. I read ALOT and i noticed my left eye gets blurry. Come to find out i have compressed optic nerves. Ok my problem is anytime i look around, meaning i can look straight and if i move my eyes at all they get really tired and feel heavy and kinda blurry. Its hard to explain. But it happens none stop unless i dont move my eyes.

The "licensed optical giving you an answer doesn't seem to have a clue about eyesight and apparently can't even read a question properly. I hope he isn't considering taking money in future for his lame advice.

Ok in the question you said keeping your eyes still is easy but moving them around is painful. Well if you can look at your finger while holding it in front of you and then switch to focusing the distance you will know whether you have a "focusing" issue. If you can do all that without moving your head, then your focusing capabilities would appear normal. What turns the eyes around are 6 muscles called the extraocular muscles. You may have an issue with them if the movement of your eyes is awkward and painful. I don't know anything about compressed nerves. Did you read up about in wikipedia? You should approach a specialist in real life if your symptoms continue for longer than a week.

I just remembered that I had a full time job once that was spent in front of the screen allday. Speed of reading was very important for the job. At the end of one day as I drove back home my eyes suddenly got really bad and had to pull over the car without seeing anything clearly. I just could not move my eyemuscles whatsoever.
A doctor saw me and said I had a stress disorder and that I had to rest myself. So its similar to what you said but my eyes were completely crippled and there was no way I could turn them.

Most likely this is happening because you are focusing on something close (like a book) for a long period of time, then looking at something further away. It takes your eyes some time to refocus. This works the opposite way, too. Look at the wall in front of you. Now put a book a few inches from your face. Blurry, right? Keep looking at the book and your eyes will eventually refocus on the book. It's just a focusing issue. I wouldn't worry about it unless the problem seems worse than what I described. If you notice sudden changes in your vision, always consult your optometrist.

This Is a sign of exhaustion. You need to rest. thats all. visit your gp / optomatrist if it gets worse.
