Whether you wear your glasses or not it will make no difference in the degree of nearsightedness you ultimately reach. That is determined by genetics, usually your vision will stabilize in your early 20's. So, wear your glasses whenever you desire without fear or guilt, it won't make your vision any worse than it was destined to become.

By the way, the "eye exercises", "eye vitamins", etc don't work, they will cause no harm, but don't expect any miracles either.

Wearing or nto wearing your glasses/taking them on /off will not make any difference to your myopia. Neither will eye exercises, eating particular foods, watching or not watching TV/computer screens. Your perscription is quite mild so you may not always want to wear glasses. Wear them when they help you and not when they don't, like any aid you use it when you need it. Using them more or less or intermittently won't make your myopia increase. All scientific studies show no evidence that any of these things affect myopia increase.

If you take your glasses off all the time you would only be straining your eyes because they
would automatically try to focus where you look. if you put it on and off it won't get better rather worse. because the eye lenses will be changing each time. If you don't like or would like to put away the glasses see an ophthalmologist about it. There are certain laser procedure which could be done, though they are not for life. This will direct you the specialist only.
There are various exercises for your eyes.
1. Look straight and then look upwards to downwards several times.
2. Again look straight and then move your eyes from side to side for a number of times.
3. From the same starting point, start circling your eyes, first clockwise and then anticlockwise.
do it in both directions or else you might feel dizzy.
4. Now, squuze your eyelids and keep it for some time.
5. Go somewhere where there is the sun. Close your eyes (very important) and look towards
the sun for a period of time. When opening you will feel them fresh because of the sun's heat.
6. When you feel tired, especially after reading or using the PC. gaze nearest to you and then
gaze as far as you can see. This way the eyes will be changing the focal from near to far.
7. you will also find refreshing if in the morning, especially, when you go to wash your face,
make your hand like a cup and start splashing the water to your eye pockets. The colder the
water the better.

Hope that I've been of help.
Take care.

then again i could be wrong but im quite sure i recall my professor specifically saying that

Take them off for reading if you can see to do it.
