Depends on which frame, what lens type and options, etc and where you are buying them. You could try looking on some of the on-line sites, remember to add the cost of the lenses, coatings, etc to the frame cost to get an idea. They will tend to be cheaper than going to an eyeglasses shop, but you don't get free fitting, adjustments, minor repairs, etc. So, take that into account. Sometimes you can save money by getting the empty frames on-line, then getting the lenses put in at Walmarts.

Remember, you can usually re-use your existing frames, just replacing the lenses, if your prescription changes frequently, so if your parents are freaking about the price, remind them of that.
