You are right it was a really stupid thing to do but you know that.

You need to go to your Contact Lens Specialist and tell them what you did. They will tell you not to wear your lenses at all and will refuse to give you any more until they have assessed the long term damage. I'd imagine you have to go back to them something like once a fortnight until they are satisfied your eyes will be OK.

They may refuse to give you any more full stop. This will depend on whether you have caused yourself damage and whether they trust you not to do it again.

Without seeing you its impossible to know if your eyes will recover or not. But STOP wearing them now if you want to have any chance. You must have this checked by a qualified Contact Lens Optician.

If you are not currently having problems with your vision then the chances of you having damaged your eyesight are low. It would be a good idea to go and get a checkup though and not wear your lenses till your eyes have been rechecked. The problem with leaving your lenses in too long is that you get oxygen deprivation and that doesn't have a lot of symptoms. However when I got this my eyesight started to be blurred and also my eyes looked red. Even so my eyes recovered fully. If you don't have these symptoms your chances will be better. Make an appointment as soon as possible, but try not to worry.

How the HECK do you wear lenses for a few months straight? Did your eyes get irritated after the first couple weeks?

Don't wear contacts anymore, you're not responsible enough. And YES YOU WILL GO BLIND.
