Whats wrong with me eye sight?!

Question: Whats wrong with me eye sight?
According to my eye doctor I'm slightly near sighted but my sight was always extremely good. Lately it has progressively gotten worse and I'm interested if my diet could be the culprit. Any thoughts or answers would be great I miss being able to see

You're talking about mild nearsightedness, which is very common in teenagers. Whether or not you're that age, you probably became nearsighted for the usual reason, i.e. eye-strain related to near work. Diet might have a role but there's no certainty. However it's advisable to eat more vegetables and less meat. Sugar and sweets must be kept to a minimum.

All scientific studies show that there is no evidence that diet affects your eyesight. Neither does watching TV/computer screens, wearing/not wearing glasses or doing eye exercises. Near sight is just one of those things to do with teh shape of the eyeball and can get worse. You don't say how old you are but typically this starts to happen in your teens and stabilizes in your 20's although it can happen at any point in your life.

These days contacts are really good and can give you perfect vision back so there is no real need to be without teh ability to see properly although its certainly not as convenient as not having to bother at all. You could also consider surgery although whether its wroth the risk if you are only slightly near sighted is debatable.

Don't listen to the guy above that diet has nothing to do with your eyesight. My friend is diabetic and was having trouble with her eye sight. We went to the drug store and bought some of those vitamins for the eye. A few months later she went to the eye doctor and he told her that her eye sight had improved.
