Question: My son has just got some overlays to help him with his reading they a blue sheets of plastic that you just pop?
over what ever you are reading these are just to help him read a little bit clearer as he is dyslexic has any one else had any type of success from using these he is to go back to the hospital in three moths for a review and then if they are helping he may get some glasses with the blue tint just for reading or are they of no use

There is no good science to support that this works so some might tell you that it does not. What is important is that it seems to be helping your son. As a parent, I wouldn't care if that was because of a real effect of the blue overlays or because he was getting more attention or because he has the confidence to try again. My friend has dyslexia and it went undiagnosed up until she started university. she was given those blue sheets and it helped her loads there was a massive improvement almost straight away. hope this helps
