How long should I wear my contact lenses for?!
Question: How long should I wear my contact lenses for?
I wore them for 2 hours on tuesday
4 hours on wednesday
and i wanted to wear them for 6 hours today, but i'm only planning on wearing them for 5 because I forgot to put them in when I got back at 4, and i don't want to go to bed late, so i'm going to wear them from 5 -10 (it's 5:30 now).
My question is can I wear them for a full 8 or so hours tomorrow? (7:00/7:30am-4pm)
Please only answer this if you actually have experience with contacts. I realise that I only recently got them but I do want to build up wearing them. I just want to know because we have this xmas thing at school tomorrow and i'd like to be able to wear them for the whole day.
Will it be too early, will my eyes get a bit stressed out? Thanks so much! No silly answers please.

You should have no problem wearing them tomorrow unless your eyes felt stressed the last two days while wearing them. To be safe just take along a lens case and a pair of glasses if your eyes fell stressed during the day.

Yeah, I usually wear mine starting out in the morning and taking them out when I go to bed each night. Take eye drops with you in case they get dry and you should be fine. Bring your glasses, case, and solution just in case they get uncomfortable, but you should be fine to wear them all day. I started wearing them about 10 years ago and I'm pretty sure I didn't build up the time increments that you are and I was just fine.
Yes you can wear them for 8 hours or more. If they start bugging your eyes then take them out for the night and leave them in a saline cleaning solution. This will clean any "build up" off of them. I wear Focus Night and Days and I can wear them for 7 days straight. It all depends on how well your body adapts to foreign objects. Hope this helps.

Yeah, you can wear them for the full 8. Your eyes will probably have gotten used to them, and you can wear them. Your eyes will soon be so adjusted that you can wear them for 12+ hours straight. I do. :) Good luck, and enjoy!

you should be fine, it's just they can get a bit uncomfortable if you're not used to wearing them all day. i've worn lenses for up to about 13 or 14 hours and been fine, so it's ok. take glasses just in case they do get really uncomfortable or fall out or something
You can wear them 8 hours, your eyes have probably adjusted to the new contacts.
Always carry with you artificial tears or saline to insert in case they start drying, blurring etc.
