I want contacts?????????!
Question: I want contacts?????????
Anyway, I got new glasses in August, so when my mom finally DOES have money (which will be in a couple months since this job is GOOD), how should I ask her? And does anyone know how much ACUVUE contacts are? And do they correct myopia AND astigmatism???
Thanks,
Stacey

I think this must be very hard for you. Accuvue contacts do correct astigmatism and myopia. Unfortunately its not something you can just get for a present as they are disposable so you have to keep paying for them adn then there are checkups and you need to keep some money as well in case there is a problem.
Talk to your mum about the money and how much might be possible. You might also like to look at the idea of daily disposables. If money is too tight for you to wear contacts all the time you could have dailies and use them for special occasions.
go to the 1-880 contacts website.google it. you can see how much each brand costs and if you know your perscription you can order them online without having to go to the eye doctor which costs more money. im not sure about the astigmatism thing but i think they have special contacts for that.
And you know he's not paying how?

i juat got acuvue contacts not to long ago i dnt really knw how you should ask ur mom for them but they cost almost 200 dollars.
You're 12, you've got a single mom, she managed to get you some glasses to see, it's hard to pay the bills and you feel sad because you can't have contacts? Sorry, welcome to growing up. When you have saved money from babysitting or other jobs for neighbors or friends, then consider asking her. In the meantime, consider asking if you could help at the local food bank, Boys and Girls club, library or other service group. Nothing like helping others to give yourself some perspective on life.
Don't bother getting contacts without a prescription as someone suggested. I just have to take care of the problems that causes and that's more expensive and dangerous than doing it right to begin with.
I'm an eye doc and I fit lots of contacts.
