How to minimise eye damage when using computers?!

Question: How to minimise eye damage when using computers?
Answers:

Computers do not damage your eyes, unless your using one that is really old (CRT). Excessive computer usage can cause eye strain. Symptoms of eye strain include, but are not limited to, blurry vision, double vision, shadows or auras and headaches. Eye strain is a temporary condition; eliminate or minimize the problem and the eye strain will minimize or resolve. To avoid or relieve eye strain, reduce the time you spend on the computer, take 10-15 minute breaks every hour or two and rest your eyes, or look away from the computer into the distance for 15-20 seconds every 30 minutes.

Take regular breaks to avoid eyestrain.

Used to be that CRT monitors threw out nasty radiation. This isn't really the case any more, there's a standard called MPR-II which restricts how much they can emit. As far as I'm aware, non-MPR-II monitors haven't been made in years and years now.

do not use old monitors like crt monitors they flicker the image very quicky and its bad for your eyes use lcd screen
turn down the brightness and avoid glare being near a window ect
