why is my unoperated eye larger than my surgical eye?!


Question: Why is my unoperated eye larger than my surgical eye?
i had cataract surgery november 11th. my eye is healed and has 20/20 vision. last night i noticed my unoperated eye was wide open and the operated eye was droopy. i am supposed to have cataract surgery on the unoperated eye the 14th of december. i feel like Quasimodo. why is my unopperated eye larger than the other? it was never like this before. anyone know what it is?

Cataract surgery can cause Ptosis (droopy lids). I would discuss the problem with your Cataract surgeon, prior to your next surgery. Eyelid surgery, (blepharoplasty) is the method most often used to correct Ptosis. Unfortunately, Blepharoplasty is considered cosmetic surgery, which is generally not covered by health insurance.
