Can I sell my Dad's old prescription glasses?!

if youre willing to sell something. And if someones willing to buy something. You have a deal.
However there may be some legal complications regarding selling unused glasses to other people in your country.

It doesn't make sense in way though. If reading glasses can be bought over the counter. Distance glasses are the same thing but with + numbers rather than - numbers. Why do distance glasses have to be such a big deal? People can easily choose a suitable pair of distance vision glasses and make their purchase.

You can't sell old prescription glasses.

First , no one else will be able to see with them unless they happen to need the same prescription , as well as like the frame they are in.

Second, there is no market for used frames.

You aren't allowed to sell complete glasses or contacts on any online auction site either.

The only good use they have is to donate them to a charity. Lions Clubs collect them , or even most churches do also, to be sent to 3rd world countries , where having a " close " prescription is better than none at all. The eye Dr's who go down there, examine the peoples eyes, then give them whatever is the closest in all the old glasses they take with them.

No, because they are prescription. But you can donate them to go to someone less fortunate. They are evaluated first, then cleaned and used.
