My daughter's eyes look drastically different for 3 weeks now?!

Question: My daughter's eyes look drastically different for 3 weeks now?
My daughter is 13 and out of nowhere one morning she woke up and her eyes were puffy on the top of her eyelid and a little swollen and dark underneath too. She complained of them itching a little but they did not appear bloodshot. My daughter has had conjunctivitus before and this did not look the same. I took her to the doctor and he said he could see some irritation, and gave her alcon drops. Long story, short...the drops have not worked and she still looks weird in the eyes. She is getting aggravated because its looks as if she has gotten no sleep or is on drugs (which both are not the case). Kids at school started noticing her eyes, so I called the doctor back and he said just continue giving her the drops. Does anyone have any idea what it could be, or what to do to help it?

Answers:

I would seek a second opinion.

Mother of 3.

it sounds like somthing i get alot calle a sty (spelling) its just when the folicles tht the eyelash comes out of gets clogged causing the entire lid to become pinkish, swollen, and itchy. try cleaning her eye area with eye solution twice a day. i hope your daughter is well

I'd ask a different doctor.
