Should I throw a contact lense away if I stepped on it? (READ INFO)?!

Question: Should I throw a contact lense away if I stepped on it? (READ INFO)?
A couple minutes ago I was reading a article on NYT and my right eye started watering after I blinked so naturally I rubbed my eyes, however I noticed a decrease in vision for my right eye and went to the bathroom and tried to remove the contact lense in my right eye. However, after a good 10 minutes, I couldn't do it so I decided to take off the contact lense in my left eye. I then put on my trusty backup pair of glasses. When I went into the bathroom to turn off the lights, I saw, what looked like, a piece of plastic on the floor. Naturally I picked it up and figured out it was my contacts. So I appliied the cleaner solution and saw that the lense sorta had a crease in it. I decided to put it on my index finger to see if it would fix itself. After a minute I saw that the lense had straightened out. So, my fellow Yahooers, should I keep the lense, or throw it away? I'm kinda new at contacts because I got them on 12/11/2010

Don't put a contact lens back in your eye that you've stepped on, throw it straight in the bin, the risk of causing an eye infection if you wear the lens again is not worth it.

Yes, You never EVER keep a contact IF you stepped on it or something. Do not keep a contact if it has a scratch on it. you need to throw it away.
