You were told to wear reading glasses all day? Well the right eye is only +0.75 with the smallest amount of astigmatism possible.

How old are you? If you're like 15 years old you're too young to be suffering from presbyopia. Another girl with hyperopia (the problem suggested by your prescription) said that a specialist recommended that she train her eyes to see better. She was told to look into the distance and in the long term she managed to bring her eyesight back to normal . I can't remember the title of the question with the explanation but I remember her name as being 'blessed'

There is no law saying you should or should not wear reading glasses. You can wear them all the time if you wish. But why the lack of confidence in making a decision on this. The glasses are designed to be a visual aid for someone with impaired vision. If you need them, you will know. If you don't you don't. It's like using crutches. If you can walk easily without crutches then go for it.

Anyway good luck with whatever path you choose.

Actually your prescription isn't all that complicated, you seem to be a little farsighted and have a little astigmatism, nothing to panic about, you aren't going blind or anything like that. The reason the axis numbers are so different has to do with the way they list them (using numbers from 1 to 180 degrees). A 3/163 is the same as 183/163, the numbers are now closer, if that makes you feel better. Anyway, when you are farsighted, in order to see, your eyes will use your accommodation power a lot more than for a person with normal vision and this can lead to headaches you describe.

Added:

As for when to wear them, there is no law that says you have to wear your glasses all the time. If you prefer to wear them intermittantly, it won't hurt your vision, but you might start getting the headaches again. I would say wear them whenever they seem to be helping, however, your own eye doctor would be the best person to contact as he/she knows your particular situation best.

This prescription is usually for reading, computer, close work.

But the only definitive answer is to check with the Optician who prescribed them for you.
