Can the Walmart eye vision place read my prescription?!

Question: Can the Walmart eye vision place read my prescription?
I lost one of my contact lenses earlier, and since I don't want to go to my usual eye doctor, I was wondering whether I could bring my other lense and if they could read the persription and sell me the same kind.
Also, the one I have is monthly, were as I need daily contacts.

No...that won't work.

They can't read the prescription from a contact lens , and that wouldn't mean the other was the same anyway. Can't tell the brand from seeing it either.

You need a copy of your written prescription or else you have to start all over again with a new exam , or have the previous one faxed over to them if it is not more than one year old.

What Footprintz said.
Also, if you're just short one lens, your previous place will probably give you a replacement one as a courtesy; my office does, as do most others in my area.
And if you've decided you want daily replacement lenses, you'll need to be re-fit for those, so they'd need a written copy of your original prescription anyways, which (as mentioned above) can just be faxed over.

I'm an optometrist.

If they have an optometrist on site probably.
