Lol... Because your eyes need to focus your head hurts.

When your eyes are straining, it very often results in a headache. If your head is hurting while you're reading, trying reading glasses would be a very inexpensive thing to try. There are some stores (Harris Teeter - a grocery store near me) that have little boxes you can look in that help you determine the strength. Once you know the strength, go to your nearest dollar store and pick up a really inexpensive pair. If they work for you, great! If they don't work, you're only out a dollar or so and then you can go to the doctor and see what is causing the headaches.

Because poor vision can cause headaches.

However, what you describe (pressure) sounds to me more like a Sinus problem rather than a vision one.

I'd go and see the doctor and have them give you a quick check with the eye chart while they're looking into your headaches. They can't diagnose your vision in detail, but they can look and see if there is any concerns that you should see an Eye Doctor about.

Wouldn't hurt to check and it is something you should do every other year if you don't need glasses and once a year if you do.
