Where do tears go after it welled in the eyes?!
Question: Where do tears go after it welled in the eyes?
Like when something made you want to cry and tears well up in your eyes, but you force yourself not to coz you're embarrassed or don't want to make a scene. Then suddenly there's no tears in your eyes anymore. Where does it go? Do the eyes reabsorb it back or something?

when you blink it gets distributed across the surface of the eyeball.
In addition to a tear duct, next to each eye is a tiny tube that leads to your sinuses, this is where the "extra tears" go. When you secrete a lot of tears, (when you're upset, allergies, chemical or other irritation) the tear flow overwhelms the capacity of the tiny tubes and tears run out of your eyes (sort of like when a drainage culvert backs up and water over flows across a road).
You don't produce enough tears for them to fall out of your eyes, so they dry up.
