Question: Fashion contacts are growing something on the middle...?

I bought some fashion contacts from thebodyjewelleryshop.com a few months ago and love them! They were perfect and brought out my halloween costume awesomely... I also use them for cosplaying, and I'm going to be going to a con in a few weeks and really want to know what's wrong with them. I opened my case and my contacts were growing some sort of clear/white gel in the middle as if they were "drying up"... It looks like burned plastic - all bunched up and such. I tried running them under warm water, cleaning them with the sterilyzation liquids, and even lightly scratching the surface, but nothing's working.

Has anybody else had a problem like this? I'm not a prescription-contact wearer, so I'm really new at all this. Thanks for your help!

They are finished...throw them away.

They were probably a monthly disposable lens to start with , so they won't last long.

NEVER run water over your lenses to start with , that just infects them.

Lenses have to be kept in a multi-purpose solution , and change the solution every 3 or 4 weeks, when they aren't being worn.

Get rid of them. If you are going to wear contacts you should go to an eye doctor and get fitted for contacts. Your lens have probably been sitting in the bottom of that case without being worn for weeks. They probably are dry. On top of that there is small bacteria growing in that cute little case you were given with your solution.
