Contact Lenses Question -- Help Appreciated?!

Question: Contact Lenses Question -- Help Appreciated?
Hi - I'm 15, and an aspiring basketball player. I also have terrible vision, and hate wearing glasses. I'm a pretty good basketball player with no vision correction (20/100 in both eyes). Fortunately, I'm getting contacts in 2 months, and had some questions:

1) What is it feel like to wear contacts?
2) Do you think I'll shoot the ball better with them?

In a short time you won't notice you are wearing them. Contacts used to take some wearing in and you were always aware of them but that isnt' the case with modern soft lenses. You may be aware of them for a week or so after you first get them but that is mainly in the mind. If by any chance they aren't that comfortable your optician may have to experiment with other types/fit of lens.

For the first month dont' try putting them in/taking them out when you are in a hurry, its a learned skill and a month is about standard to get really good at it.

Will you shoot the ball better? Well contacts give you massively better depth perception and field of view over glasses. Also htey don't steam up etc etc. I would think you will find basketball and other sports a lot easier with contacts.

Good luck I've had contacts for 40 years and found my wonderful for sports.

you'll get used to them. contact lenses are supposed to be comfortable but if dirt gets into your eyes it hurts more than it would if you're not wearing contacts.. and yeah I think you would shoot better with them :)
