What can you do you stop "floaters" in my eyes?!

Question: What can you do you stop "floaters" in my eyes?
I know its normal, but they drive me insane when I'm trying to do homework or read. Are there any eye drops i can get for them?

Answers:

Floaters exist in your eyes and can't PHYSICALLY disappear from there. You only notice them when they move around.

If you over-work your eye it heats up. This heat softens the gel-like substance that fills your eye. This allows any debris in the eye to start floating around. The part of the eye that heated up is called the ciliary muscle. If you are tired this muscle will be straining and struggling to maintain a consistant focus. This results in a shuddering, constant readjustment that over-works the eye.

If you just close your eyes or look at the distance for at least 1 minute you will allow the eye to cool down. After doing that you should be able to notice all the floaters have gone.

BTW Floaters only get visible when they cross the center of your eyeball. This is when they can cast a shadow on your retina.

Nothing. They are inside your eye. As in, inside the eyeball itself. Eye-drops will do nothing.
If they are very severe it's possible to have the gel inside your eye removed and replaced with saline solution, but that is only if they are very bad. I highly doubt yours are that bad if you are still able to read things like this.

You can't do a bloody thing about them except learn to ignore them.

They are natural to the point of being untreatable. They ARE annoying, though -- I agree with you.
