I have perfect eyes, but I spend a lot of time on the computer and my eyes are f!


Question: I have perfect eyes, but I spend a lot of time on the computer and my eyes are finding it hard to focus?
I have the best vision in the family but lately my eyes are finding it hard to focus so I need to increase the text size on a webpage to read it without reading the same word 2-3 times (before I could read it without any problems and it will not be the same word really, just a word I wont recognize like I used to)

Most days I will spend all day on the computer, I live in a crappy little village and know nobody! plus I do nights working on the computer.

So, I'm wondering, if I spend all this time on the computer should I look into getting Computer Glasses? If such things exist would I need to do an eye test for them?

I'm sure you treat your eyes perfectly well. Yes using a pc is fun. The eyes are not harmed from viewing a pc screen so there is no need to limit your time on it. You said that you live in a really crappy village. Well I guess its good then to spend more time In front the pc (rather than being miserable right?)

Anyway if your eyesight gets bad you can leave it like it is or you can get some computer glasses. Just tell your local optometrist that you can't see the screen easily and I'm sure he/she wil prescribe you the perfect pair of glasses.

I had the same problem when I got an office job and was in front of the computer screen all day. I went to an eye doctor and he told me to use eye drop every couple hours and it helps. Also, take break and walk around a lot. That helps too.

I have a pair of reading glasses purchased from a pharmacy that I wear only when using the computer. You can probably purchase a pair for less than $20.

As you get older your eyesight will diminish. Get better / stronger glasses or a bigger computer screen. It's hard to admit, but that is often the case. I have the same problem.
