Why do our eyes change colors?!

Question: Why do our eyes change colors?
I don't mean when you're little and your eyes are still developing, but when you're older and they are consistently the same color. My eyes are usually green. But a couple times they've gone to having an outer rim of blue and a yellowish-green in the middle. I thought it might've been because of weather; they were changing when the temperature was hot. But it happened a day or two ago, and the weather has been below 30 degrees fahrenheit. So that possibility was eliminated. I just wanna know what makes people's eyes alter colors. Thanx!

They don't. They can appear different colors based on how dilated they are, the lighting conditions, and what you're wearing. The iris itself does not change color in adulthood, apart from a slight lightening caused by the deposition of cholesterol over time.

Now stop staring at yourself in the mirror.

I haven't ever heard of peoples eyes changing colors. I know that mine look differnt colors depending on what color of clothing I"m wearing and what kind of lighting i'm in, but they don't actually change.
