non prescription contact lenses?!


Question: Non prescription contact lenses?
i have astigmatism and dont NEED to wear glasses but do sometimes just cuz its nice to see things a little clearer. however, I wear colored contacts for fun but they are not prescription. could this mess up my eyes or is it fine that they are non prescription?

It won't mess up your eyes any more than not wearing contacts at all. You will just simply suffer the symptoms of not having your astigmatism corrected.

It depends on the individual wearing them. If they went to the eye doctors to get a proper eye fitting and than ordered non prescription colored lenses, than odds are they will be okay. If they just decided to buy a pair from a mall kiosk or online, than it may or may not mess up your eye depending on your eye itself. The only way to really know if its safe or not is to go to the eye doctors.
