Answers:

wear contacts then. you can get different colors.

Firstly the vision screening test could be wrong - that is why they refer you to an eye doctor. Its only meant to pick up people who may have bad eyesight. You can't really try on someone elses glasses to tell - individual perscriptions have a lot of things in them and are VERY unlikely to be identical to yours. The fact you can't see properly from the back of the class says your eyesight isn't likely to be perfect, however if you can see it by moving only one row its not going to be terrible. I couldn't see teh board in school!

If you get a test and need glasses then you will be able to get contacts. But you need to have glasses as well as contacts as you can't wear contacts all day long as its bad for your eyes. Also if you are ill or have an eye problem you wont' be able to wear contacts. Coloured contacts are there but it depends on your perscription whether or not they will be available for you. Also they are more expensive than ordinary contacts so you need to talk about the costs with your parents.

I can understand you worrying about being made fun of and wish I could promise you it wouldn't happen. there aer some very nice looking glasses out there which might help. Try and take things one at a time. First go to the eye doctor and see if you need glasses. Then go away and discuss what sort of glasses/contacts you need and what your parents can afford. Then work out how to wear them to school. It could be that noone at all will make fun of you. At teh moment you are worried because you are thinking that teh worst thing may happen and thinking far forward into the future.

You need glasses. Not someone else's glasses. Even if your friend sees 20/40 with her glasses, it doesn't mean that the glasses will work for you.

Yes, you can get contacts instead of glasses.

I would suggest that you get a cool pair of glasses that you're happy to wear.

I'll throw in some advice that is more general: Someone is always going to tease you about something. If you act like you don't care, they'll give up. If you actually don't care, it makes it easy to act like you don't care, but the first step is to act like you don't care. If you can say "whatever" like you don't even have time to bother with their rediculousness, you'll be fully prepared for the world.

If you try to avoid specific things because you'll get teased, they'll always find something else. If you don't wear glasses, they'll tease you because your hair is short. Or long. Or curly. Or not curly. Remember: whatever.

If you don't like "whatever", try "you're just jealous". You need to say it calmly like you don't have time to talk to silly people who are wasting their time being jealous.

Go see the eye doctor. He or she can tell you if you really need glasses, but if you can't see the board from the back of the room, you probably do need to have your vision corrected.

Your eye doctor can also tell you if you're old enough to have contacts.

If not, get the glasses. You may only need to wear them when you're in class and there are some really cool ones out now. And if someone teases you, just smile, shrug and say "I wanted to be able to see everything or I wanted to be able to see the pretty girls better" If you shrug it off and they don't get a rise out of you, they'll stop teasing.
