Question: Why do I get this faraway, tunnel-like vision when watching TV at night (sometimes)?
I noticed that this usually happens at night. I haven't yet observed this happening in the daytime.

So sometimes when I watch TV at night with the lights off, after a little while, I notice that the TV screen looks like it's really far away, like my eyes have lost their depth perception. Sometimes it goes away after a little while but it's a bit irritating sometimes as it's like the TV is really far away.

What is this and should I be concerned?

Answers:

Not saying this is what is going on, but I just saw a study about something called "Alice in Wonderland Syndrome," and have seen two patients with the same issue.

It's pretty cool about how it works and what the person perceives when it happens. Check it out on Wikipedia (with a grain of salt, Wikipedia may be false sometimes). Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wo…

Enjoy and good luck!
