Contacts feel weird/uncomfortable?!

Question: Contacts feel weird/uncomfortable?
So I used to wear contacts like 6-7 months ago, and I was fine. But then my mom didn't renew my health insurance in time and I couldn't get more contacts until she renewed my insurance.
Today, after getting my insurance back, the eye doctor gave me a trial pair of contacts. But when I went home and put them in, I started thinking she got the wrong prescription. My eye watered so much, there were tears running down my face- I expected that, though. What I didn't expect was for it to feel so uncomfortable. Where my bottom eyelid met the contact, it felt very uncomfortable. I tried blinking and shifting it around, but it became unbearable and I had to take it out. Same thing happened again for my left eye.
So my mom told me they might have been sitting around too long, and just to let them sit in the solution for a couple hours, then try. Well, it's only been about half an hour, so I'm still waiting. But I don't think it was inside out or rippled.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Sounds like the trial pair are a bad fit. You need to go back to the eye doctor. Bad fit is the only real reason for this sort of discomfort unless both had dust on them which seems unlikely. Sitting round waiting for them to soak for a couple of hours isn't going to make any difference.

It could be the solution; there are two kinds. One kind is a reactive chemical and you can't put your contacts in for eight hours. The other is a cleaning agent that you can use just seconds after cleaning. Usually the latter is easier on your eyes.

I've used several trial contacts before and they just aren't as comfortable as the regular contacts. They might just have dust particles on them though.
