Would I be able to call my eye doctor and get my vision info x/x even though it&!

Question: Would I be able to call my eye doctor and get my vision info x/x even though it's a contact prescription?
From what I understand you can not get this information from a contact box. Thanks for any and all help.

x/x = 20/20 etc.

[Flying Dragon]... I don't know where you're at.. but by LAW, every eye practice must have DOCUMENTATION of the Patients' VISION before testing, and BEST CORRECTED Vision... This is law just to cover themselves... just in case they injure your eye during examination.

So... to the aswer.. just ring them up... as them to release your UNAIDED VISION as well as your AIDED VISUAL ACUITY.

This information is legally yours.. so they should not give you any harrassment over it.

It sounds like you are trying to get a job that requires a certain minimum visual acuity (the 20/some number thing). You are right, it is NOT the same thing as an eyeglasses or contacts prescription. The place that tested you eyes might have this info, but no guarantees. If they do have it, because of privacy laws, I'm not sure if they will give it over the phone, you might have to go there and prove that you are you first.
