Can I still get new lenses for 5 year old eyeglasses?!
Question: Can I still get new lenses for 5 year old eyeglasses?
Answers:
Actually that depends on where you bought them from, I got 2 pair at Sears, and the frame broke at the nose piece on one, I called them they told me they no longer have the frame in stock , that the warranty on the frame expired one month ago but that the lens warranty was still good, but that each frame they carry is for a custom designed lens or that I am beat basically however they would give me a discount on a new frame with new lenses from the same scrip. I told them to shove it.

You can get single vision lenses put into your old glasses for $25 at www.replacementlensexpress.com. Other options aren't much more (bifocals are $35, etc.). I used them and their customer service was really attentive. Take a look at the website and browse around, but when you're ready to buy, I'd say to contact their sales staff - info@replacementlensexpress.com. It's just easier that way and they usually write back right away.
It's a great little optical shop based out of Connecticut and they make everything in-house. Lots of these other online companies outsource overseas, and in these cases the quality really suffers.

Yes of course you can get a new pair of lenses for your frame if it is in a good condition. Just ask for new lenses in the shop and they'll cut them in the shape of your frame and put it in your frame..
