if you sleep with contacts in will they go to your brain?!

Question: If you sleep with contacts in will they go to your brain?
my friend with contacts said they did. i didn't believe it thoughh.

Answers:

Definitely not. I have had contacts for about 5 years and I have slept with them and never have they gone 'into my brain'. When you awaken, your eyes may be dry but they'll still be there.

Well, there is a slight chance that the contacts can go behind your eyes. I have heard about this before and the woman had to get surgery. Don't worry about it thou, my friend sleeps with his contacts everyday and nothing bad has happened from that. Just be careful. I too have contacts but i take mine out before i sleep, it's not much of a hassle and it guarantee's me that nothing like that will happen. Also be careful if your contacts dry up while your sleeping they could cut your eye. This happened to my dad and he wasn't able to drive for about 3 weeks! In my opinion you should take them out every night. experience

My personal experience

No, you know how your eyes go back when you go to sleep, well that's where your contacts go, and apparently very uncomfortable and difficult to take out. Well, at least that's what my cousin who wheres Contacts told me.

It's not really good to sleep with your contacts in unless they're designed for that. But I do sleep with mine in and they definitely do not go into your brain. Just put drops in your eyes in the morning because they might be itchy, dry, or out of focus.

no they dont. I know its bad but i've left them in for 2-3 weeks before.
but you can get corneal ulcers from doing that so i dont recomend it.

No, haha. That is a myth. Your friend sounds like (s)he thought you were gullible.
