Do you wear contacts? If so then...?!

Question: Do you wear contacts? If so then...?
Is it difficult to put contacts in and take them out?
Have you ever had any problems with contacts?

Thanks for your help!

Answers:

I've worn contacts both hard and soft for 40 years. It isn't difficult ot take contacts in and out . Its like riding a bike - easy when you've got the hang of it.

I did have problems with my contacts many years ago when contacts were in their infancy. I was told by an optician that I could wear my contacts as long as I liked provided they were comfortable. This is atrocious advice particularly as I had the very old hard contacts , not even gas permeable. However I wasn't happy with the person and swopped ot another optician who resolved the problem. It was very unpleasant and I was quite lucky there were no long term side effects.

You wouldn't have that sort of probelm these days provided you followed the opticians instructions. Other than taht I have worn my contacts for all types of sports including swimming/sailing/hiking. I've had them trekking in deserts adn in teh himalayas and not had problems. Yes you have ot be careful and follow the rules and think a bit before you go to somewhere remote but there is no reason for you to have problems.

I have worn contacts since I was 17. (now 30) I only had problems putting them and taking them out for about the first two weeks to a month. I am so used to them now, I don't even think about them. I recommend acuvue oasis. I have had other brands and these are by far the most comfortable. I have not had any issues with my contacts. Just wear them as recommended by your eye doctor and clean them every night you wear them and you'll be fine.

Hope that helps.

I do wear them
It was difficult for like the first 2 days but then it became extremely easy. Able to do it without looking in a mirror.

The only problem i had with contacts was putting them on inside out and then realizing it when I was driving as it fell out.

Another time my eye felt really irritated, turned out the contact had a rip going through the center. Took it out and replaced it, no big deal

At first but when you get use to it, it's really easy. It took me about 30 minutes just to put mine in on the first day. But now it takes me like 30 seconds.
