Has anyone on here tried the lasik eye surgery?!

I'm looking to get LASIK also but I'm 20 years old and my optometrist told me that I need to wait until my vision stops changing (because everytime I go to get my eyes examined my vision has gotten worse)....before you follow through with it just make sure your vision hasnt changed in the past year or two because if you get it now and your vision hasnt stopped changing...it'll be a waste of money.

I have had lasik surgery, it worked very well for me I was -11.75 in one eye and -12 in the other. I saw instant results as I was virtually blind without any corrective lenses. I did end up getting some glasses many years later to help me while driving at night (night blindness can be a side effect). When I had it done 1998, it ran me 3500 dollars. I know it is much cheaper now and I think insurance covers it if your eyesight is bad enough.
