Can too much crying cause fluid to accumulate in the retina?!

Question: Can too much crying cause fluid to accumulate in the retina?
i know this sounds silly but i had to post it anyway. Five days ago i started to feel discomfort in my left eye, and its like some dirt was on the surface blurring my vision. i tried to compare my eyesight on each eye, on my left eye i see this round shadow in my vision so its keeping me from seeing things properly and its bothering me, really. Went to the doctor had oct scan and said i got some fluid in my retina, and that its minimal and selflimiting and that i need not worry myself about it. He prescribed Voltaren eye drops to be taken for amonth. Im thinking about seeking for a secon opinion, i want this treated ASAP, is this condition treatable? what does C.S.R. mean, read it in my diagnosis on the prescription paper.

Answers:

No crying does not lead to fluid accumulation in the retina. The OCT is the appropriate test to detect fluid in your retina. Voltarin is the appropriate treatment for fluid in the retina especially following cataract surgery. If a second opinion will make you more comfortable, a retina specialist would be the appropriate doctor to see.

The answer to your initial question is no, crying doesn't cause it.
2. you haven't posted your prescription paper so we cannot have a look at it....
3. I advise you go to see another specialist as the shadow can be caused by several things and it gives you a piece of mind as well.
All the best

CSR is Central serous retinopathy.
The prognosis for CSR is generally excellent. Over 90% of patients regain 20/30 vision or better within 6 months.

Most cases clear up without treatment in 1 or 2 months. Patients with more severe leakage and more severe visual loss, or those in whom the disease lasts longer, may be helped by laser treatment or photodynamic therapy to seal the leak and attempt to restore vision.

Patients who are using steroid drugs (for example, to treat autoimmune diseases) should stop using them, if possible.

Voltaren is NSAID. I think doctor prescribe it to relieve the discomfort in your left eye
