Can't Put My Contacts In?!

Question: Can't Put My Contacts In?
So I'm 13 & I just got contacts 2 days ago, for the first time, and I could put them in in like five minutes yesterday and the day before. But today, I've tried for an hour and they just won't go in my eye. I've done everything right, washed/dried my hands, opened up my eye, used the contact solution, etc. Please help, if you have any ideas what I'm doing wrong, tips to put them in, or anything else helpful.

Here are some of my tips:

- Make sure they aren't backwards
- Make sure the lens is centered on your finger - if one of the sides get stuck on your finger they're really hard to get in!
- Make sure they're lubricated with solution
- Sort of stare into space when you're putting them in. Hold your lids apart with one hand and gently place the lens on the eye with the other hand.
- If you get an air bubble, look in the direction of the bubble and it will go away. When I started using contacts, air bubbles always gave me trouble.
- Just relax and remember you are not hurting your eyes in any way.

Good luck! You'll become an old pro really soon. I get mine in in like 30 seconds now.

Also to the poster above me: Pretty much anything asked on Yahoo! Answers also could easily be Googled. Why come on here at all if it bothers you enough to mention/complain about it? At least "folks chiming in" could offer something helpful to the poster. You haven't contributed anything.

This happens it takes about a month to get really good and until that point its a bit hit and miss. First thing is to relax - you know you did get them in twice so you can do it again today. It is critical to get teh lens centred on your finger and not let it slip as you bring your finger towards your eye. If the lens goes off the centre of your finger it starts to go slightly out of shape and then doesn't hit the centre of your eye squarely and doesn't attach. We all have our own ways and tricks of doing this - try searching answers for sepearte methods and see if any of the tips speak to what you may be doing wrong. Basic thing though is to relax , do everything slowly, give yourself plenty of time ( not 5 mintues before you go to school, contacts can sense weakness fast and will be difficult lol), and be very precise. its possible that you've got the lens too wet and its slipping. Try shaking off teh surplus liquiid before putting it in. Not quite sure why people have given you snotty comments - if you find a question annoys you don't answer it. I got lenses at 13 and its natural to want help if there are problems and for people of your generation to ask on the net.

I would just wait a while and try again later. I have no tips but I had the same problem it would take me almost an hour to put them in everyday for almost a year. Do be sure that the contacts you are wearing are being put in the correct way. Like mine are Acuvue Oaysis and they have little numbers 123 on the rim of the contact and when they are not the correct way it looks like 321.

Yeah, just make sure they aren't flipped inside out. A good way to tell is that if they're correctly flipped, it'll be perfectly rounded. If they're not, they'll be a bit flat on the bottom. If nothing is working, take them out and put them away. Wait a bit. Then try again.
I found that the more frustrated I get, the harder it is to put them in.
