is it safe to stare into lightbulbs?!

Question: Is it safe to stare into lightbulbs?
for some reason whenever i'm laying down i always want to stare into a light, and it makes me really sleepy!!
is that okay?? like is that safe??

Answers:

Depends on the strength of the light bulb, but unless your face is really up close to the light and your staring at it for long periods which may increase the chances of damaging your retina, I think the worst you will get is eye strain and seeing the light trail when you take your eyes away. Otherwise if staring at the light somehow relaxes you then I see no harm in it.

if it is not too bright and you do not try to focus . the danger is that you overuse the delicate cells in the eye. you eye should close automatically to protect you

NEVER STARE IN TO THE SUN OR A LASER OR A WELDING LIGHT they can burn your eye cells and blind you

physics and common sense

No, you are straining your eyes.

Nope
