Does anyone else get strange purple spots in their vision for no apparent reason!

Does anyone else get strange purple spots in their vision for no apparent reason?

I frequently (at least once a day) get spots in my vision, almost exactly like the purple spots left behind after looking at something bright....except it's not after I look at something bright. They last for a while, but if I close my eyes they'll fade away faster. I should also note that unlike the spots caused by bright lights, I can't see them with my eyes closed or in the dark. Only when there is light hitting my eye.

I've been to 2 or 3 eye specialists about this, and they've found nothing wrong with my eye. They have no idea what it is. These spots are NOT floaters or flashers, I already have plenty of those and have had them for years.

So, does anyone else have something like this?

I don't even know what to tell you if you have been to two specialists. Do you get severe headaches after you see the lights? Just thinking that they might be migranes if that is the case, I lose part of my vision or get floating spots right before I get a migrane.
